Are you prepared in the event of an emergency?
"Research clearly shows the sooner someone receives CPR and defibrillation from an AED after going into cardiac arrest, the more likely they are to survive. As an emergency medical service, we look to the community to help us by becoming trained in CPR and learning how to use an AED. A simple four hour class can do so much when seconds truly count. Show someone you love them, learn CPR / AED."
Reg Allen, Chief
CPR Training
It is our belief that all members of the community should be certified to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and know how to use an AED (automatic external defibrillator).
Henrietta Ambulance is proudly certified as an American Heart Association (AHA) Training Site. Whether you’re an individual in the community, a medical professional, or a business owner looking to train your employees in CPR, our staff will work closely with you to setup a training program that allows you or your employees to help others in their time of need.
Classes are typically four hours long and there is no charge for residents of Henrietta to attend. For employees of local businesses or those residing outside Henrietta, a nominal one-time fee will be incurred. All AHA CPR cards are valid for two years.

"The program is tailored toward everyday citizens who want to make a difference by saving someone's life. Many people have avoided learning CPR because they don't want to perform mouth-to-mouth breathing on someone they don't know. The reality is that simply doing chest compressions on someone can often result in a much greater survivability rate for those in cardiac arrest. Therefore, mouth-to-mouth has been omitted from the Community CPR program."

AED's & CPR Training for Businesses
Having an AED on-site at your business can greatly increase the chance of survival for an individual in cardiac arrest. Cardiovascular disease is still the number one cause of death in the United States. By choosing to implement an AED program at your facility, you will be making a commitment to saving lives.
While Henrietta Ambulance does not currently sell AED’s, we do offer a program that assists you in providing options for purchase and installation of your new AED. We’ll work closely with you to help facilitate the necessary steps to launch an AED program at your company. We can also provide training to your employees on proper use of the AED, which includes training on CPR and proper 911 activation.
Henrietta businesses interested in obtaining an on-site AED should contact us. We will train 20 employees free of charge for any business that purchases an AED. Businesses that currently have an AED are also entitled to reduced cost CPR/AED training.
First Aid
The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver First Aid course effectively delivers the most comprehensive first aid training in the industry. This four-hour class is tailored to both employees of local companies as well as the general public. Topics covered include first aid management of common medical conditions including chest pain, bleeding, shortness of breath, stroke and diabetes. The AHA First Aid class offered by Henrietta Ambulance is held in our Training Center on Calkins Road. However, local business owners may contact us to setup a custom on-site class as needed.
