Henrietta Ambulance Dedicates New Training Center
Henrietta, NY, August 24, 2009 — Henrietta Ambulance (HVA) has opened a new Training Center located at its headquarters, 280 Calkins Road in Henrietta. The completely renovated Training Center is state-of-the-art and includes 2,800 square feet of available space.
The main training room features a large-scale projector, built-in overhead sound system and can comfortably seat 45 people. Three “break-out” training rooms are also available, each with AV hookups and flat panel LCD televisions. The Training Center renovation is complete with two restrooms and a kitchenette area.
The space will be routinely used for training and meetings for Henrietta Ambulance. The facility will also be home to many regional-wide training classes for EMT’s, Paramedics, hospital staff, Firefighters and Police agencies. HVA’s community CPR & AED classes are also held at the new facility.
Outside agencies and organizations may also use the Henrietta Ambulance Training Center. Non-profit agencies within the Town of Henrietta may register to use the space for free. The facility can also be booked for other company meetings and training events. Any agency interested in using the space should contact HVA’s Training Department at (585) 334-4190.
A dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Sunday August 30th at 11:00 a.m. Invited guests as well as the media are welcome to attend.
Henrietta Ambulance has provided emergency medical care to the residents of Henrietta, NY and surrounding communities since 1962. The agency responds 24 hours-per-day to over 5,200 requests for service each year with its fleet of eight emergency vehicles and 85 career and volunteer members. Henrietta Ambulance is certified to provide the highest possible level of emergency care in the nation, which includes an advanced life support paramedic response to designated calls. In addition, the agency provides a number of services to the community including a free loan closet for residents (crutches, canes and wheelchairs), complementary blood pressure checks, community CPR classes, and AED training.
